Lahore: The arrested suspect who killed the Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Asad Khokhar’s brother has confessed to the crime during police interrogation.
According to details, the suspect named Nazim told the police that Malik Mubashar, the brother of MPA, was allegedly involved in the murders of his brother and uncle and he killed him in revenge.
He further told police that he arrived at the ceremony at 8:15 PM carrying a pistol and was not stopped by the guard at the main gate.
He said that he opened fire on Malik Mubashar when the Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar was sitting in his vehicle.
The accused added that he had bought the weapon for Rs 4,000.
The firing at the wedding ceremony of minister-designate MPA Asad Khokhar's son left Mubashir Khokhar, the brother of Asad, left dead on Friday.
Police arrested the suspect identified as Nazim of Manawala. Police said the firing incident took place at the time Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar was leaving the venue in Phase 7 of Defence C.
