Farrukh greived over demise of actor Masood Akhtar
Masood Akhtar played an important role in reforming the society through films and dramas, said the Minister.

Islamabad: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib on Saturday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of veteran film, TV and stage actor Masood Akhtar.
The Minister in his condolence message said the death of Masood Akhtar was a great loss to the film and TV industry. The artistic services of the late will always be remembered, he added.
Masood Akhtar played an important role in reforming the society through films and dramas, said the Minister.
He prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and courage to the bereaved family.
Masood Akhtar has been facing multiple medical complications, earlier, he was diagnosed with lung cancer.
According to details, Masood's funeral prayer will be offered after Asar prayer in Gulshan Ravi's Usman Block.
The Pakistani actor was shifted from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to Surayya Azeem Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
Akhtar has made a huge contribution to the art of acting by performing in many movies, TV plays, and theater productions. He had had a long association with Alhamra Art Center, The Mall, and was a regular feature at Alhamra café every evening.
One of his early plays, Paisa Bolta Hai was staged at Alhamra in the 1970s and it earned him immense popularity.
It is noteworthy here that actor Masood Akhtar received the “Pride of Performance Award” for his artistic services.
