Michael Jackson's nephew set to play 'King of Pop' in biopic
Living up to his uncle's legacy, Michael Jackson's nephew Jaafar Jackson to portray him in the upcoming biopic.


Lionsgate studio, the leading film production company, has announced its upcoming biopic "Michael" which will feature the life and legacy of the legendary pop star, Michael Jackson— portrayed by iconic star’s 26-year-old nephew, Jaafar Jackson.
In an official announcement, John Branca wrote, "We are thrilled to announce Jaafar Jackson as Michael Jackson in the upcoming biopic directed by Antoine Fuqua. It is especially significant that one of the most iconic figures in history will be brought to life by his own nephew, and Jaafar has been working extremely hard to get ready for his role".

Taking to Instagram, Jaafar confirmed the news in a post that read: "I’m humbled and honoured to bring my Uncle Michael’s story to life. To all the fans all over the world, I’ll see you soon".
Jaafar Jackson is the son of Michael Jackson's older brother, Jermaine Jackson, who is also a singer and producer.

Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson, says “Jaafar embodies my son. It’s so wonderful to see him carry on the Jackson legacy of entertainers and performers”.
The 26-year-old actor, who bears a striking resemblance to his late uncle, has been in the entertainment industry for some time, but this will be his biggest role to date.
