Fare of People's Bus Service has been increased from Rs50 to Rs80

Karachi: The Sindh government has given another shock to the people of Karachi and the fares of the Peoples Bus Service introduced for public travel in Karachi have been increased.
The fare of the People's Bus Service has been increased from Rs50 to Rs80. If you want to travel more than 15 kilometers, you will have to pay the fixed fare of Rs120.
Due to the increase in fares, everyone, be it office-going employees, laborers, or students is worried. Citizens say that their income has not increased, but the fare has increased.
On the other hand, Sindh Senior Minister for Information and Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that all the decisions taken are well-intentioned. The government is providing a daily subsidy of Rs5 million at the rate of Rs 40 per passenger. ‘I am grateful to the Sindh cabinet and the Chief Minister, who now said that they are increasing the fare a little’.
Meanwhile, the people are demanding that the government reconsider this decision to increase the fare of the Peoples Bus Service so that the common man can also benefit from this facility.
