Singer Taylor Swift achieves another milestone
Her recent hit album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ achieved great success globally


Renowned American singer Taylor Swift has crossed another milestone by being named Global Recording Artist of the Year for 2024 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
This is the fifth time Swift has been awarded this honor, which is another major achievement in her illustrious career.
Her recent hit album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ achieved great success globally, topping the top four charts for Global Album, Global Vinyl Album, Global Streaming Album, and Global Album Sales.
The album sold 5.6 million copies, making it the best-selling album on the Global Album Sales chart of 2024.
In addition, Taylor Swift's ‘Eras’ tour was also a global success, earning over a billion dollars and increasing the popularity of her previous albums.
IFPI Chief Executive Victoria Oakley said on the success that this year has been a wonderful year for Taylor Swift, who has once again dominated the world stage thanks to her extraordinary art and hard work.
Taylor Swift was first awarded this honor in 2014, and then she was awarded this award in 2019, 2022 and 2023.
This is the highest number of any artist in the 12-year history of the awards, which proves Swift's global popularity and her unparalleled success.
