Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s mother lodges FIR against his wife over property dispute
The latest reports say that Versova police have called Aaliya Siddiqui for questioning over the matter regarding the property.
Mumbai: Mehrunisa Siddiqui, the mother of Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui, on Monday lodged FIR against actor’s wife Aaliya Siddiqui over property dispute.
The Indian media reported that Versova police called Aaliya Siddiqui for questioning and Aalia had an argument with Nawazuddin’s mother.
According to the police, there was a property dispute between Nawazuddin, his mother and Aaliya alias Zainab. The police registered the FIR under Sections 452, 323, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
Zainab is the second wife of the actor and they tied the knot with the actor over a decade ago. They are now parents to son Yaani Siddiqui and daughter Shora Siddiqui.
Aaliya in 2020 had sent a legal notice to Nawazuddin demanding divorce, alleging that she was subjected to domestic violence. She said that though Nawazuddin never raised his hand at her, his brother Shamas Siddiqui hit her.
In 2021, she reversed her decision to divorce Nawazuddin despite that she had earlier alleged that he was never able to pay attention to the children.
“But now, I am really surprised to see him like this. Both me and Nawaz will try together to remove all the problems between us. Going forward, we will sort all the problems and misconceptions. We have been talking about this,” she was quoted as saying by the media.
