Earthquake tremors were felt in various cities of Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 4.2 on the Richter scale in the surrounding areas including Mingora, Madin and Kalam.
According to the Seismological Center of the Meteorological Department, the epicenter of the earthquake was the border region of Afghanistan and Tajikistan, while its depth was 175 kilometers.
People came out of their houses and shops in fear due to the tremors of the early morning earthquake. However no loss of life and property have been reported as yet.
