Peshawar: Earthquake tremors were felt in Peshawar and its surroundings on Wednesday, spreading fear and panic among the citizens. People came out of their homes and offices reciting the Holy verses.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, while its depth was 211 kilometers underground.
So far, no reports of any loss of life or property have been received from the earthquake. Rescue and district administration are monitoring the situation.
According to experts, earthquakes have become a normal part of the region due to the activity of the Earth's layers in the Hindu Kush region. However, citizens have been instructed to take precautionary measures.
